Term 1 2018

Dear parents/caregivers
Welcome back to the new school year.  We hope your children (& you) have had a pleasant holiday and are refreshed for the new year to come.  We have a few changes this year which we will explain, but most things remain the same including making sure we have good quality care for your childrenJ We also welcome a few new families to FLOURISH and hope your children settle in well and quickly enjoy coming each week.
New system
As we announced at the end of last year, we have a new online system called AimyPlus which takes care of all of our enrolments, booking & signing out etc.  Thanks for your patience as we get used to making this system work really well for us.  Please let us know of any problems so we can get them ironed out.  All invoices and payments will also be sent out via this system.  Please contact Ruth if things are not right or there are any issues.  At this stage we are not able to pay via AimyPlus, so a bank transfer or automatic payment is still the preferred option. 
Management
Most of you will know that Ruth is moving to Wellington with her family this year.  She will still manage the accounts & online system from there and will still be reachable on her phone & via email.  Sarah will remain the person to call or text for absences & attendance. 
Staff
We welcome Nicki Walker & Rosanne Dawson as fulltime supervisors this year and look forward to the different gifts & abilities they will bring to the team.  Please take note of the calendar on the noticeboard & posted on Facebook to see the cool activities these supervisors & Sarah plan for your children each day.
Van Pickups
Please see the transport policy which is at the center that we are now required to have.  If your child is picked up to come to FLOURISH please could you read & sign this policy.  It will be part of our standard enrolment process from now on. 
Reminders
Your child’s safety and care is paramount in all we do at FLOURISH and when they don’t show up on day they are enrolled we know that we need to find out ASAP where they are and if they are safe.  This often means phone calls to schools, or parents & often takes considerable time to follow-up.  If we do have to make a phone call to find out where your child(ren) are,  a “no show” fee of $5 will be added to your account.  Please, if your child is enrolled on any given day and they are either sick or unable to come, can you please contact us before 2:00pm and let us know.  A text or phone call to Sarah is all it takes.  Grace will be shown in extreme circumstances or emergencies. 
We are looking forward to a great year with new things planned & improving anywhere we can.  We love to hear what you think & how we can help serve you better, so please if you have any concerns or issues don’t hesitate to talk to a supervisor or Ruth about any issue & we will do our best to help.
