Welcome
to term3! Wow this year is marching on very quickly. Before we know it Spring will be in the air,
and Christmas just around the corner J
Term 3 Themes
Term 3 has
kicked off with our first theme “Ocean Exploring” for the last 2 weeks in
July. August’s theme is “It’s a Jungle
out there” and September we will celebrate all things “Spring”. The team do a great job coming up with fun
and exciting activities that fit our themes and we post these calendars on our
Facebook & Instagram pages and also on our website so you can see what is
coming up. If you haven’t already done
so, please like or follow our pages for updates, photos & more.
Staffing
Last
term we announced that Sarah is expecting a baby & so term 3 will be her
last one with us at FLOURISH as she goes on maternity leave at the beginning of
October. We will all miss her very much,
but wish her all the best & can’t wait to meet baby sometime next term.
Undoubtedly
this leaves a huge hole as Sarah is our extremely capable centre manager. But we are very pleased to announce that
Nicki Walker is willing to step up and take on this job. She will be working with Sarah over this term
as we transition her into this role.
We also
welcome Sarah Fountain to our team at FLOURISH.
She will be working each week on Tuesday and relieving as required. She comes with a wealth of experience as a
teacher aide for many years & all sorts of other community
involvement. We look forward to having
her as part of our FLOURISH whanau.
Survey
We love
creating a safe & fun place for your children after school and value your
feedback so we can provide an even better service to you & your
family. Every year we request a parent
survey so we can gather this data. Please keep an eye out for an email from
“survey monkey” within the next few days that will have a link to our online
form or you can use this link
(https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KVXWLDW). It will also be posted on our FB
& Instagram pages. As usual there will be a prize draw for those parents who
take the time to fill this out for us. The survey will close on August 31st
& the winner will be drawn on September 3rd. We thank you in
advance for your participation in this.
Holiday Program
There
has been some confusion around the pricing, booking and early bird cut off
dates for the Holiday Program. So we are
going to simplify the system to just one category to make it easier for
everyone. The price per day will be $40
and the price for the whole week will be $160.
The
dates for these holidays will be the first week – Monday 30th Sept
until Friday 4th October.
Further information & booking will be out at the end of this
month.
